After our 7 on me and a few guys from work will go have a few beers in the morning after our last shift. We wear our scrubs to it unless we are taking care of isolation patients and in that case we go change. The general public is as dirty as our scrubs. At least we make an effort to wash our hands and stay clean.

I often see guys in scrubs at the gym. Yeah, I get it you're a resident, let me bow to you.

Totally agree. I also cannot comprehend why doctors wear their lab coats out on the street. They clearly don't understand why they wear lab coats in the first place and makes me question their understanding of basic biology.

Go ahead and tell us what a physician should wear in the hospital and clinic setting and why.

A lot of guys come to the school gym in scrubs. Usually walking over from the hospital. I don't see anything wrong with it. Why make twice the laundry if you're comfortable working out in scrubs? Hell I've done it before. No reason to dirty laundry just to look cool at the gym. It's the gym...

I see some at the gym before their shift wearing scrubs. Trying to get ripped and look good but spreading all kinds of fonk around the hospital. No surprise since hospitals have to practically beg doctors and nurses to wash their filthy hands before and after each patient.

I agree. People are far too casual these days. If your sitting down at a restaurant and are wearing scrubs you obviously have no respect for yourself.

Why does everybody in a medical office wear scrubs? I mean from the receptionist to the file clerk?

I thought that if you got blood on you, they were 'disposable' type clothes, and then put your suit back on. The white coat is for normal office procedures, scrubs for surgery, then change back to suit.

What's happened to the medical profession?

They wear them because their job mandates they wear them.

They banned the wearing of scrubs in my college gym back in the day. It was in response to a MRSA outbreak, though, so maybe a little different.

I usually change clothes before getting off work, but sometimes, I just don't have time either.

Heck, I wish strippers didn't change clothes, but they seem to find time.

Don't yall have locker rooms or a place to change before leaving work? Scrubs are unattractive and probably unsanitary.
