That didn't last long. It was an A&G Cafeteria for a long time. We'd go there and to the one in WestSide in Gretna.

We would go to Bonanza as a kid. My parents liked that over Western Sizzlin. You don't see too many Bonanzas these days either

Yes. We Went to the one at Westside as well. I think it was Ray's Smorgasbord.

I remember there being a Bonanza in Lake Charles that we would stop at on the way to Houston. They had that big block of cheese on the salad bar that you cut yourself with a string slicer.

Where Tony Mandina's is in Gretna, was originally a Bonanza.
The "cheap" steak franchise model seems to be dying out as beef prices, LIKELY, are just too high for it to be affordable. When the least expensive steak at a Copeland's is over $30.00, iIrc, there's no way these places can survive selling even $15.00 steaks.
