The dude that Revenant is based on (Hugh Glass). I haven't seen the movie, but I heard the guy's story a few years back and it blew my mind.
Mad Jack Churchill- last soldier to record a kill with a longbow in battle. Killed a Nazi during WWII. Went into battle with a basket-hilt Claymore, longbow, and bagpipes. During one battle:

Already posted but Thomas Jefferson was an amazing person. I looked into his works and everything he said could he used today to make you a successful person. He really was a visionary...I try to live by what he said every day...I hope everyone takes the time to read what hr had to say. It really is incredible that he lived that long ago.

Thomas Paine. Would there have even been a revolution without "common sense"?

For me it's Benjamin Franklin. It's he who I desire to be.

Theodore Roosevelt.
Although I wouldn't consider him to be the greatest U.S. president, he is by far the most interesting.
Politician, Soldier, historian, Author, Conservationist, Explorer. All around badass. Wrote several books about his hunting trips in Africa. Also wrote a very accurate history of the naval aspect of the war of 1812. Everyone knows about his exploits as the leader of the Rough Riders. At the onset of WWI he was old and sick but he still tried to pull strings to go and fight.
Most badass example: he was shot while giving a speech, and finished giving the speech with the bullet lodged in his chest.

This man.
Charles Martel. He turned back the Moslems in the 8th century. Without him, Western Europe would be full of no-pork eating mofo's.

Albert Einstein as well. He paved the way for the creation of the modern world in a large way. Actually, both men did. Einstein lived the vision that Jefferson proposed.
