MIL just got me a Reed and Barton set for Xmas. But it is not real

Have my wife's great grandparents set up in the attic. Her dad says we should sell it. He thinks its worth 2-4k. It's heavy a hell. We've never used it and she's probably forgotten its up there.

It is really good stuff and I am very happy with it. I had to steer her Xmas gift money in the right direction after the electric fireplace of 2012 incident.

My mother inherited a set of Christofle, service for 12 from her grandmother. My father will inherit a set of Tiffany silverware when my grandmother dies. My parents also have a set of Christofle they received as a wedding gift from an uncle or something. Both sets were used often by my grandparents and my mom has used her set fairly often for formal occasions. I suspect my sisters will inherit tbe sets.
