I actually learned by driving tractors growing up. First time ever driving a standard on the road was on my way to get my drivers license way back in 1987. The vehicle was a 1984 extended cab Toyota truck.

F100 (‘81 I think) in about 1992 or whenever Hurricane Andrew hit.

It was one of those three gear (3 on the tree?) with no power steering or brakes. No AC and bald tires. Not sure how I survived that 1st year of driving. I would sweat buckets in summer.

94 Chevy S-10 Extended Cab. Loved that truck. 2.2L 4-cylinder.

70’ ford truck. 3 speed on column. Clutch was tricky that one…..
