We owed $9 in federal taxes this year. 
Went ahead and got it done a few weeks ago since it was so low. Owed a couple hundred across a few different states, though.

Owed $720 in fed and got back $580 state. Took a few years to get the deductions right through work when we had the kid. I'd much rather a small burden than to get a huge refund.

can't do it until all K-1s come in, bidnesses have a different deadline, screws up my taxes every year

For your sake, I hope it was all accurate. Those numbers just seem a bit crazy.

My company filed an extension until October. 3rd year in a row they've required extra time to get all my international taxes sorted out.
