Garbage man and his family moved on a 5 acre lot behind my two and a half lot. The stink from his garbage truck and trailer got to be too much. I went and saw a lawyer and he advised me and another neighbor to go ask gman politely to do something about the smell. He said he would but after two weeks - nothing. I made arrangements with my closet eight neighbors to meet at my house. We all agreed something must be done. Everyone agreed to pitch in financially to do whatever it takes.
Sued his arse legally and the truck and trailer were moved but it was only after a rep from the state environment department came out and saw he was dumping cans and bottles on the property and put the fear into him enough that he finally moved everything. About six months later he starts parkinghis truck there again. He put his truck back on his five acres, which abutted my property, fifty feet from my back door. Went to the lawyer again and he sent gman a stern letter -gman couldn't afford a lawyer - and told the guy he would have to pay back any money to us for reparations. Gman did what the letter suggested and moved his truck again. He moved out about a year later.
The lady that bought his house and five acres - I talked her into selling me the back two and a half acres to me. Won't have that problem anymore, just in case. Everyone got their money back. Win win.

I have. Won't do it again for less than $1500. It's a huge PITA doing all of the legwork that small claims requires
