Same here. I don't mind a decent crowd, but one of my biggest pet peeves are the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds you typically see on NYE or at a bar on a game day.
Once walked up to my favorite bar in Athens a few hours after a UGA/UT game, saw the crowd jammed in like sardines, and said "frick it, I'm going home."
I hate the whole constantly jostled, spending 20 mins trying to get a drink, having to yell in people's ears to be heard thing.
My favorite crowd level at a bar is when there's plenty of people but still 2-3 open slots at the bar to be able to walk right up and get the bartenders attention.

I don't mind crowds of strangers at all. I hate crowds of people I have to interact with, socially or otherwise. I'm self employed, mostly so I can control my own work environment. I avoid parties. and even if I had religious faith, going to church would be difficult for me to endure.
