My brother named his son a terrible name and it bothers the shite out of me. My family had a brewing tradition that started with my dad where his father gave his first name to my dad as a middle name. My dad gave his first name as a middle name to my brother. My brother was supposed to do it for his son and did, however.

My brother goes and fricks it all up by giving his son a dumb first name to hand down. What are the odds a kid with a stupid name is going to follow the tradition and why would he want to if he appreciated it anyways?

I did my best. Before the kid was even born/conceived I told my brother straight up it was dumb.

My uncle and my dad's middle name (both 1st males) is the same as mine. I named my first son after 34 and my wife refused to let him have the first 2 initials be PP. So while she was all drugged up after birth he got the agreed upon middle name & I added my great grandfather's name (Arthur) to it. Child two she went the rhyming route so he got the family middle name. Both are decent enough names that are nowhere near as ridiculous as these millenial slimes. For those too young to remember, go seek out George Carlin's segment on it. Even the names he made fun of are now considered acceptable old school names. I'd love to hear his view of the Apples and whatever the frick some low IQ popular musician comes up with for names.

Thankfully my wife isn't as bad as her sister/cousin. 6 kids and the names all end in "gan". The first 2 are respectable names but the one I refuse to call anything other than Ro-gain and another shares a differently spelled name with a good family friend. The first has parents solidly Gen X and its spelled the traditional way. The second are solid millenials decided to get cute with the spelling.

Isn't it considered a bad idea to have the names of your children broadcast on your vehicle like that?

Seems like you've made it really easy for someone to abduct your children.

Think I remember a police officer once saying that the stick family decals with the names of kids is just a bad idea because of that.
I bet your FB feed is full of forwarded hoax posts.

I’ve got two gospel writers and a founding father. Middle names are passed down from family.

Knew a guy in high school who was a really tiny dude...5'6" ish maybe 110 pounds. Bumped into him many years later and he introduced me to his kid of about 7 years old....smaller than dad and lets just say he wasnt going to be doing any male modeling in the future.
Think really really small boy.
His name?

I mean, I would never name my kid Braden, but it doesn't seem to be in the same ballpark as most of this thread.

There is a town in my home county named Braden. It's been around since the 1800s.

Braden alone isn’t that bad. It’s when they add the unnecessary Y like Brayden or Bradyn.

Yeah just doggie and hiking pics. Sweet braids most of the time. Too bad Paxton or Paysons pats are sensitive. Isn’t that his name?
