I believe black lives matter. I believe all lives matter.

What I have never figured out is why you burn down your own community when you are upset about something that happened.

I can't figure out why anyone believes that they will be accepted in society in general by being different?

Radical violent efforts have not worked before, why should they now?

In many instances both sides need to change their approach to this issue.

I don't pay much attention to the BLM movement, it just seems to have poor spokespersons. Message gets lost because of the sender.

I am a straight white male who has been the victim of a racially motivated assault three separate times. Go ahead and tell me about my privilege and how I'm racist.

So do I....In case you didn't read my earlier post:

quote:

Black people: The BLM movement isn't doing your race any favors. Sorry, but white people don't owe you anything. Many white people have accepted and even adopted black music/fashion due to commonalities regarding socioeconomic struggles. If you want better lives here you go....

STEP #1 - Let's work together to help the 99% of you that are good hard working people create better lives for you and your children. The very first step to this process will be dropping the "snitches get stitches" mindset and starting to purge the gangster culture and mentality from your neighborhoods. We work hard to keep trash out of our neighborhoods and you have to work hard to take the trash out of yours! You are going to have to stop brainwashing your children with gangster rap from the time they are babies. The portrayal of easy money by selling drugs and shooting people/living that gangsta lifestyle tends to spill over into reality if you constantly listen to it all day and night. You will have to work to instill values and goals, especially the understanding that we all have to work hard for YEARS if we want to good life for ourselves and our families. Call us when you are ready to accept this first step and sorry but if you aren't willing to accept this first step then things will very likely just remain the same.

Also, you are not fooling anyone with your huge rims. We know that other bills very likely went unpaid or children were very likely neglected so that you could purchase those God awful rims. This is alot more sad than it will ever be impressive.

There will always be black trash just like there will always be white trash. You're going to have to separate yourselves from the trash if you truly want change.

That is all for now.

Not white but I wish those people who partake in this 'movement' would be just as active as they claim to be in their own community first. Instead of putting ALL their time and effort in what they believe is oppression should be spent on bettering themselves and youth.
I wonder how many parents at these protests were at Thursday night's PTA meeting? More and more public schools are "failing" and closing especially inner-city because no one is taking responsibility or supporting the needs of children. They drop them off and pick them up, if they even go because expulsion and truancy is also a problem, and let that be the end of it no involvement what so ever. If the kids were being taught how to make car bombs in Chemistry, I'm sure 85% of parents would have no idea.

Crime and poverty is another. How many of those people have participated in an gun buy back for unregistered guns or donated food and items to their local shelter or drive. How many times have they assisted in building small homes for those in need or just volunteered in general?

A lot of these people don't do anything noteworthy for themselves or their neighbor, yet they want to place blame for their stagnation on others. If we all had a little bit more respect, love and accountability a lot of these issues we see wouldn't exist.
