I agree with Crescent City Connection. Zoo of Acadiana is nice.

Memphis city proper is the biggest zoo in America.

Outside of NOLA the best wildlife experience in LA is the Global Wildlife Center near Hammond.

Memphis Zoo is actually pretty awesome. It puts every zoo in Louisiana to shame.
