Yep….just today I was sitting in my office thinking about retiring. I looked around me and was looking at old stuff that I have in my office and still use. A desk clock and business card holder that I got when I graduated from LSU, the coffee cup that I got my first day at work.
29 years passed in the blink of an eye….

Wow. 20 years ago I was dazed and confused being a full blown functional drunk.

“dazed and confused “
That movie focused on my high school time… first time I saw it I was like “ what the heck… who was following me around in high school”… so many minor details that were accurate..
But yes it snaps by.. when you retire it goes even faster.. because you do not plan future like retirement.. you just get to enjoy life how you want.. goals you want ( which tend to be immediately achieved if you want)..
And redo the great times of what you enjoyed as a youth.. walks in woods.. hobbies.. watching the flowers grow..

I’m going through the same thing. Seems like yesterday I was bringing my little girl to Kindergarten and in a flash now she’s going to be a senior. So every chance I get I go meet her outside and listen to whatever music she’s listening to and just visit. She asked daddy what is wrong? I said baby we don’t have many of these days left anymore. She’s like are you dying? Lol I said no but after next year you will be off to college and this will change. She said I’ll be back though, I said yes but it will be different. So ole dad is savoring every chance I can get with my little girl. Then I go inside and hit her mom in the arse with a pair of balls.
