Relative humidity at 8 am eastern time isn’t particularly meaningful. Dewpoint is a better measure of how much moisture is in the air.

When we moved back to east Tennessee from living in Houston and then New Orleans, one thing really stood out, midsummer.
For most of the afternoon, there was a different and cooler temperature in the shade of trees up here. By 4pm it would be getting "I need a nap" warm, but we were working on renovating our farm house through the "heat of the day" without any worry about heat stroke or exhaustion.
Nothing like the sweating hour in New Orleans when the 100% overnight humidity crosses paths with 80degrees Fahrenheit around 10am.
Ten am up here is often an hour before we even think to turn the a.c. on.
