One of my buds had one with shag carpet and beanbags in the back when we were in HS.
That thing was awesome

I had a friend who bought a used Ford panel van extended version. Skil Bosch power tools had the outside designed like the A-team van that went to auction. He knew someone with skil bosch power tools that told him which one had a new engine and new transmission put in it, fairly new brake job, and decent tires. Had his brother who was a cabinet maker design and build the inside out. He paid $9k for it when vans similar package new were $60k.
He used it to to camp in while fishing.
Cheap for him to stay a week at a state park as he got a camper spot. He stayed at grand isle state park a few times and had a kayak to fish the marsh. We fished and camped out of it on Lake Amistead and Lake Fork for a cost effective fishing trip. Towed my 21ft bass boat like it was not back there.
The van came with a slide out table, area with ventilation outside for a generator to be installed inside. Most times if he had and rv spot he had electricity and running water for his sink.
The only drawback versus an rv is he used the state park shower and toilet.
Then standing up as it did not have a raised ceiling.
He did have sink and a small fresh and grey water tank or he could hook up directly to water to run it.
He fixed it up on the inside nice to camp out, towed his 21ft boat nicely with that huge V8 engine, and had portable ac/ heater to keep it comfortable when inside.

It never was badass. Always felt bad for the people in those.

That sticker goes on the left rear bumper.
"Gas, Grass, or arse. Nobody rides for free." goes on the right.
