The burden to prove a signature on a petition is legit is extraordinarily high. Like, if there's a tiny deviation from the way you signed your driver's license to how it appears on the petition, the registrar is like "NOPE! NEXT!".

What's interesting about that concept to me is that the same people who are putting the signatures through that "test", are also the same ilk that would LOVE to have local, state, and federal elections where voters do not have an ID.

Hmmmm.

Yet when it comes to milking tax money from the producers, every way possible to verify an ID is needed from those who don't want to be extorted.

There is a Recall Mayor Sharon Weston Broome facebook page. They want to get enough members to sign up before they start a petition. That way it will have a better chance of succeeding. If you want to have a St. George petition, then you should start a group, gather names and then start the petition.

with the annexations that took place its going to be real hard for ST.G to happen unless the residents are willing to pay Texas like property taxes.

This is what I have thought, all that land off of Siegen they just annexed was a major blow.

St George is not the solution.
You would just be making your surrounding communities that much worse while taking away vital services in St George.

It was another big blow to lose those Siegen shops, but it St George reduces their footprint this time around, it wouldn't require as much funding, alleviating some of that hit.
