It took me at least 3. Months for smell and six months for savory tastes. Never lost sweet buds. Andy’s saved me and hurt me at same time.

Better question is why are you catchingcovid so much?
Not sure I have ever had it, but I am certain I have never lost taste or smell.

Had Covid at the end of 2021. My smell has never fully returned.

I was just gassed
I had it a week or so ago. The fatigue you get is pretty bizarre. I'd wake up from a 9 hour sleep overnight and still feel like I could sleep 3 more hours. Trying to focus at work is the hardest. I did force myself into the gym a few days which I seemed to help the fatigue wear off quicker. Was definitely worse during the omicron round I had. I think I slept about 14 hours a day and wanted to sleep the other 10 hours as well. Didn't lose taste or smell this time.

My wife had Covid over a year ago, and still hasn't recovered practically any sense of smell. The only plus is that she's not bothered by bad smells anymore (grandkids poopy diapers, etc). She says a lot of foods she used to like now taste like gasoline (steak, burgers, onions, broccoli). She can taste sweet foods, but that's about the only normal sense of taste she maintained. Very frustrating for her.

Never got Covid, I took 8 vax shots.

I’m curious as to why the OP in this thread got so many downvotes?
Don’t believe the op had Covid?
Don’t believe it causes your sense of smell/taste to be altered?
Something else?

Had it November of last year. Lost smell and taste for a couple of weeks. It returned at about 80% initially and I’ve gradually gotten back to probably around 95%. Every now and again I’ll have an issue fully smelling something.

Had covid about 3 years ago. Never lost since of taste or smell completely although they were diminished. Taste came back to normal about after 3 months. Smell is still not all the way back to normal as things like coffee and gasoline smell completely different than before I had covid.

I lost smell/taste for about a week before it came back. I’ve said ever since that while I do have my senses of smell/taste usually, they’re definitely dulled. It’s like even the strongest smells and flavors are covered somewhat of that makes sense. Makes me appreciate when I can fully smell and taste something delicious.
This has been for 2 years now and I’m not sure if I’ll ever get them back to 100%
