When did the beard replace the sideburns and goatee look of the late 90’s/early 00’s?

Looking at 90’s sitcom reruns and numerous other tv shows and movies along with sporting events it was predominantly a clean shaven look. Then the sideburns came back in with an optional goatee. Nowadays it’s the full beard.

The goatee is a look that only dudes that could pull off any look can pull off

Even fatties can pull off a beard

Although dudes that treat their beard like it’s a goddamn national treasure are cringy as frick

Is this also the same time that flat billed hats became popular?

I tried the ol' timey Western look with a full mustache, patch, and long chin hair. It looked absolutely fricking ridiculous and I shaved it all off out of shame.

On March 21, 2012 when Willie showed that bearded rednecks are cool.

Used to rock the Val Kilmer from Tombstone look in college. One of those things I randomly think about while doing random shite and mutter “frick!”

Beards are the preferred look of fatties because it allows them to conceal their fat chins

No facial hair has been in fashion since the Roman time period. Beards have always been a fad that comes and goes.

I shaved my beard and went with the Fu Manchu look for about a year. Went back to the beard.

Fatties

There’s only so much facial hair can do. It’s hard to fully conceal a fat face with a beard. That ain’t gonna work.

Not shaving became less of a stigma in the past 15 years though. I don't think I've shaved with a razor in 8-10 years. I hate shaving.

I kept a full, bushy beard for several years but have been clean-shaven since I decided to become an adult. I'll grow a stache every now and then but inevitably shave it when I look too hard in the mirror.

You’d think an adult would more than likely have a beard. Not sure what your assertion is all about.

Not a very hairy person so I don’t really get bothered by shaving the two times a week I have to do that.

Other than a few weddings or funerals I’m in the same boat
