You think that many people gave because he mentioned suicide?

No what I'm saying is there was a much bigger problem there that money wasn't going to suddenly fix, in fact, may actually make worse.

Wasnt a fraud, but that was a lot of cash to dump to a guy in a serious mental breakdown. I was hesitant at first... but so many on several different boards said it checked out and he needed help. Still I only donated 10 bucks. I just dont trust people

I firmly believe 90% of GoFundMe solicitations are bull.

Dude’s story touched me. I am typically the most cold and callous person I know but for whatever reason it connected with me. I don’t believe it was scam at all but if it was, what I lost was worth the risk. Risk loss analysis. For what it’s worth the backstory seemed to check out. Seemed to be from my home town and there were real names attached so I reached to my limited resources to connect.

If it was scam, whatevs I lost a semi nice dinner for one. If it wasn’t, it made more of a difference there then it did it my pocket.

Sad in most every dimension.

Tragic loss of his spouse only hours before.

Pleading to an anonymous board for help, in his mind his only option.

His obvious addiction issues, especially the next day.

But mostly, sad for his two young daughters and their future.

I hope and pray it all works out for him and especially them.
