well i got bum shoulder too. It takes it a bit to get warmed up on there. It hurts more doing the set of 135 than it does when i get to 205. I certainly feel the pain for next days after chest day. Doing arms sucks too for shoulder. I've just said frick it and learning to ignore it.

Switch to all dumbbell work on your chest till your shoulder heals. You can work around the pain with those.

it ain't healing, i quit working out for 9-10 months and shoulder got zero better. IT feels almost better since i've gotten stronger but something is still not right. I don't know if its a partial slap tear (words of ortho) or what.

Im willing to bet it's a problem with your form. Sounds tendon related if you feel better at heavier weights.

Go down in weight, and focus on perfect fricking form, while strengthening all shoulder muscles for about a month....then start building again.

That's what I did when I hurt mine. It takes about 3 months of working with them but it allows you to work around most of the pain.

This is the OT, so my bench is virtually unlimited. Just depends on how many plates are available around my area in the gym on that particular day

There's never enough

its not form, its an injury that occurred last fall when i was working out. I feel no worse now when i work out than after 6 months of no working out. Willing to bet i have a partial tear of something. I was going to get the arthurgram (sp?) MRI done but cost was too $$$

i'm still constantly sore. Try to add a new thing here and there and hits certain muscles differently. Its the price i'm paying for sculpting the body i'm sculpting. Gonna make the ladies very happy come beach trip in may

My point is that you can work around a shoulder injury if it isnt a full on tear or separation, but you have to go back down, and really concentrate on using the entire muscle group to overcome the limitations.

well i did start back down. I was a gym pussy when i started in august from nearly scratch again. Kept at a slow pace for a bit. Only recently i've started getting some my big gains back. My shoulder overall feels better now than it did few months ago. I still get the pain after certain things.

Nephew jock in college at UF, center for Grossman, benched 605 when he weighed 300. His playing weight was 305. Now he still keeps in shape but looks more natural at 240 lbs.

That is extraordinarily unlikely unless he was shirted. Only 10 men in the history of the world have benched more thn 600 RAW in the 300lb and above weight class and that is including super heavyweights as well.
