Not a fan of talking on the phone, but that's a more recent thing going through the chemo process over the last year. Seems like 90% of the phone calls I get are when I'm sleeping and I get irrationally annoyed when it happens. When I get back on the road I don't mind it at all because it usually breaks up the monotony of the drive.

I generally avoid phone calls as much as I can. I simply don't answer incoming calls. Ever. Outgoing calls are only when I cannot get something done by email, text, etc.

My phone is for my convenience, not yours. You are not important enough for me to stop everything else I am doing to take your call; likewise I shouldn't expect you to drop everything to take my call.

In my opinion the people who are scared to answer the phone are worse. I used to work with someone who always left her office phone go to voicemail because she couldn't handle an impromptu question from a caller.
