I couldn't tell you what the inseam is on a single pair of my shorts is. Where does it even say that? Do you have to measure this yourself?
Every pair of shorts I've ever bought I looked at the waist size and if they fit I wear them.
Also, wouldn't your height make a huge difference in the look of your inseam? A guy who's 6'3 will look completely different in a pair of shorts with 7" inseam than a a guy who's 5'.

The majority of my shorts are 5 inch. The rest are 7 inches. Nothing touching my knees is really the only requirement outside of no cargo shorts.
