You're exactly right. As my older gas powered equipment starts giving up I'll replace them with new stuff that accepts the Stihl batteries.

Easier just to blow them into the driveway and light them on fire.

Plus, there's so many of them, and they're so deep, it would defeat the purpose of why I address them anyway, keeping them from killing my grass. I mean, 2 off the oaks drop their leaves in the same spot, right on the spot of yard I most want to have grass on.

If you dont have grass, blowing is gonna jack up the top soil. Now is a perfect time to buy a big bag of winter rye, get it to take and then maintain with the mower to mulch the leaves. Put out some bermuda or st aug in the spring before the rye dies.
