What the address to this Instagram? Just to determine if it was redlight worthy.

2009 Civic. Be careful and have a mechanic inspection performed. When you buy cars at that price range, a lot of shady shite gets pulled.

I bought my 17yo son an older civic. There was no way I was gonna give a teenage driver a nice new car.

I'm pretty proud of him though as he has taken very good care of the car and has even done some minor repair work himself.

How about holding off putting her behind the wheel since she can't stay off the phone while driving? She is going to kill somebody. OP is negligent.

Sounds like she needs to get a job and buy her own car.

Frick $6500, I'd buy her an old POS for $2000 and make her drive it until she graduates college. Actually breaking down rarely happens these days and isn't worth worrying about.

But in all seriousness you can easily buy a Honda Accord, Toyota, Nissan, etc. with 100-120k miles for that that will lady her through college with little to no problems.

I believe Hondas and Toyota have timing belts. Have those inspected. Nissans have timing chains so good there. On either of them, replace the belts, hoses and battery and you should have car that will not leave her unexpectedly stranded.

My '11 RAV4 has a timing chain. Not sure about other models.

So why would you buy her another car? Seems irresponsible of you
