What's going on in Lafayette today for Mardi Gras?

Will be in Lafayette this afternoon, and overnight tonight. Wondering if there's anything special to see tonight.
I have a doctor's appointment at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Will there be any extra traffic headed North on Ambassador Caffarey between Kaliste Saloom, and West Congress?

Probably mild to moderate traffic on Ambassador Caffery going that direction on Mardi Gras morning. That's not really near the parade route.

No kidding 
I've known people from here who have had doctor appointments in Nola on Mardi Gras day. What a cluster frick, but if they try to reschedule, that's another 6 month wait.
