Some guys can pull off the bow tie thing and look good with it.

When I wear suits and have to wear a tie, I usually wear bow ties because even with a tie clip, normal ties just get in the way.
Now if you have to go the clip on route then don’t wear them.

I wear one to court here and there. Something a little different. Doesn't get in the way like a tie

I own one bow tie: a black one to pair with my tux.
If I ever buy another bow tie, it will likely be another black one to wear with my tux.
I can’t fathom ever buying one for any other reason. Maybe if I ever need a white one with tails?
