Whatever happened to Starting Lineup ACTION FIGURES

Used to collect starting lineups all the time as a kid in the 80s and early 90s. Would play with them nonstop, football or baseball (some basketball and hockey). My son is four now, that’s the year when I got my first Bobby Hebert and Rickey Jackson starting lineup. Wanted to get him something similar to that with football baseball basketball anything sports related. Went to target and Walmart but all they have is paw patrol, Minecraft, the thing with cat boy. Only action figure sports related is wrestling.
I still have my old SL, and if I gave him one a week it would last a couple years. But my Warren Moon in a Houston Oilers uniform or Andre Dawson Expos have been played with so much there is no more writing in the jersey.
What happened?

I’ve passed mine down to my son. He loves them, plays with them everyday

I probably have a hundred or so of them. Most of them I took out of the box. I think the first series was in the 80’s or so, and they are worth something. I wanna say they stopped making them in the early 2000’s.

Ride out with antiquetiger. He probably knows what neighborhoods may have them.

I collected the football ones in the mid-80's until they quit making them. I never took them out of the boxes.
I have friends that had rooms full of SL figures, and Star Wars figures. They weren't dealers, but they made money selling them on Ebay. All of the stores in Dallas got lots of Cowboys figures. they sold or traded them to people in other cities.
One year they made special issues of a Troy Aikman that you could only buy from Tom Thumb grocery stores in DFW. They also issued Bret Favre ones that were only available in Green Bay. My buddies traded those Aikman figures to collectors all over. They got the Favre figure that was only sold in GB and sold them to people in DFW.
I went with them to a Star Wars show in Plano where a couple of exhibitors had Starting Lineup figures too. I found Eric Martin, Leonard Marshall and Carlos Carson ones there. They laughed at me for paying $20-$30 for former LSU players that weren't that valuable or sought after.
