Why didn't your wife go to the funeral? That's her ex...no matter what happened...he meant enough to her at some point in her life.

My ex fiance committed suicide last year. If it wouldn't have required me spending money on a plane ticket, etc for travel I would have attended his memorial service to show support to those close to him that I knew well (his friends and family).

Was the right thing to do. Would have been weird if you just went to support your ex and didn't know the guy. This is totally different.

It’s not his current wife’s ex who died. The guy who died is his ex-wife’s current husband.

I think it’s his ex-girlfriend’s current husband. Not his current SO’s ex-husband.

He needs to find a clearer way to describe the relationship. Haha.

You're still misunderstanding.

It's his ex-wife's current husband.

He's worried about how his current wife would react to going to his ex's husbands funeral.

He doesn't say if his ex whose husband died is male or female so all possibilities are still open. Was there surgery?

Going to the funeral was the right thing to do. Not telling his wife was the wrong thing to do.

Yep, I'm an idiot in this thread as well

Still...his wife shouldn't get upset.

That he felt he needed to hide from her the fact he was going to the funeral. Maybe she shouldn't, but she definitely will.
