Potentially, the startup is always the answer. But there is no real way to know that for sure. Likelihood leans toward the established company.

Other jobs will be available with significant pay increase, as I've hit a point in my career where I'm a commodity and the small company I work for can't keep up with the other, larger company salaries.

I've missed out on a similar opportunity in the past (another startup) by taking a sure thing job paying more and I regret it. Those guys are doing great now, but that doesn't mean this one will do as well.

I think I'll try A out for a while and if I don't see it going the direction I had hoped I'll jump ship for a "B" job in a few months.
