Assuming I could have an equal or higher lifestyle, somewhere on the west coast... Carmel by the sea, somewhere like that.

Everything from 3-10 is fluid, though. And some of these places I'd prefer to live in a suburb than within the actual city, but that's probably a given.
edit: and my responses are kind of based on the likelihood of my wife and I finding jobs in the area, because that's how I've always thought about this question. I'm too lazy to rework my list if employment wasn't an issue.
