OP's question is "If you had to have a car shaped like one of the 50 states, what state would you pick?"
It is also worded as if we are the cars and someone else is driving us
So the other responses are correct as well
TLDR; OP is retarded

Worst state you can pick. The pot holes on the interstate absolutely blow my mind. I called DOT on my last visit there.

I've driven to all but three states. Roads in snow areas have too many dips and bucks. It's impossible to drive fast for more than 50-60 miles eithout hitting one that causes a pucker.
Any states with snow also will have inconsistent surfaces.
Texas roads in east texas are good... And absolute shite everywhere else.
Nevada is fun to BOMB across, but the lack of fuel stations up north is sketchy.
The state you can drive across at the highest average speed might be Louisiana. I've gotten on the interstate in NO, hopped on right behind some guys in mopars, made it from domilises to BRG in 42 minutes.
Same from jennings to BR, catch it with no traffic and you can make that drive averaging over 100.
The roads have no traction risks except for a few drops that you only notice at speeds well over the limit.
Now... Prettiest ride? South carolina or northern California.
