Super NES with Ken Griffey Jr Baseball...I grew up about as poor as you can and the feeling of opening that up on Christmas probably matches the reactions of those kids in Stout's link

Castle Greyskull and the all the HeMan action figures. That was the best Christmas ever. Only other one that was close was when I got my first CD stereo system.
