What value to Louisiana real estate brokers bring to the process?

My understanding is realtors have to have their license with a broker. Realtor gets 3% and gives 1.5% to broker. You apparently also have to have a brokers license from the state and they’re limited in number?

What do they provide? Office space? Advertising? Why is this level of bureaucracy needed in the process?

They coordinate with each other to keep prices high

Just get your brokerage license and hang up the shingle

I think they’re fun, man. Ya know, you can call them and they can tell you about bedrooms and bathrooms. X many car garages. It’s just a lot of fun talking to them. Parugala in the backyard. No problem! Dual oven with air fryer function? Yes Maam.

Anyways, can you pass that thing, chief?
