I have read on this site since 2007 when my wife passed away. Honestly, my son signed me up on here because I think I was bugging him wanting to talk about LSU sports. he is 50 and busy with kids of his own. Honestly, I don't think my kids planned on me living this long.

I'm very envious. I'm sitting in a boring arse deposition right now.

The ability to do whatever, whenever and most importantly whoever is fricking amazing.

I'd take up sailing and just sail that bitch wherever I want.

Go to California.

Whether it's china town in San Fran, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Mt Shasta, white water rafting, Sacramento bike trail, or Death Valley, or Santa Monica.. do it.

I'm serious. Have to do this crap once a week no matter what.

The wife will bring something for lunch as she does every week.

And yes, it would suck the big one if my wife would pass before me.

Got any kids, grandkids? Zoo trip with the grandkids work great if you have young ones.

Get a dog. Seriously!

My grandmother got very lonely when my grandfather passed away and she has found new life in that little fella.

Also. Start playing golf! Golf is awesome for any age! You can go by yourself, meet friends, go to the range or play a round, spend time with God, etc

Prayers for you fishfighter. Sounds like you have a lovely lady.

Grandkids are 17,15, and 14. They are plenty busy and don't give two shits about anything but cell phones and asking for money. Very spoiled kids.

the man is old. He is about to spend the rest of eternity with God (or the devil). I would hang out without someone different if I had little time left on Earth

I am retired. I have plenty of money to spend.

You should see about finding some way to share all that money with the rest of us. You know, spread the wealth around!

Great advice. Thanks. I might get a dog if it is trained well. I am in great shape for my age. I still swim and bike. But the dog can't be a handful

OP needs a hobby. I suggest he take up smoking marijuana and playing guitar. Endless hours of fun and entertainment.

Was that supposed to be funny?

I'm actually kind of envious the older crowd. They're closer to meeting God than I am and that will be a glorious day.
