QuickBooks desktop software.
Price has gone up from less than $50 per year to over $600 - despite having no useful new features and usability getting much worse.
The fact that it's so tough to get rid of gives Intuit free rein to price-gouge its customers.

It's been speculated that Intuit wants everybody on their online software, so raising prices on desktop is a way to entice businesses to switch.
