Bill Clinton was a band geek in high school. In my lifetime only Elvis and Clinton had that effect on women. If I had his game, Wilt the Stilt would have been a peon when it came to women.

While I was the bulky unattractive lineman I was smart enough to hang with the band geeks for parties, they always had the best!

What instruments did you both play?

Reed for you?
Brass for him?

But he was a music education major so he played almost all the instruments

My cousin in college looked very much like this, especially the hairstyle and dancing style

I was more like ogre at that age, tho bulkier and less attractive (no glasses)

Dad played sax, alto or tenor?

Sax was a panty dropper in my youth, don't know about kids today

Mom played all kinds of instruments but was best on a piano or banjo

Everybody in my family could play at least one instrument but alas I was relegated to the choir as a baritone or bass (more to do with an ability to sing in latin, not than actual talent). I tried all kinds of instruments and spend the most time on my dads drums, but while everyone applauded my enthusiasm to learn, my talent was well below average.

Tuba and Trombone, you must have been popular with the kids when they were young blowing tummy farts on them.

He played mainly alto - my #3 also plays alto sax

My dad was a tuba player which is why I played it

When I went to college the nickel plated sousaphone weighed half of what I did

Dad played alto as well

Good to hear GRT jr has continued on. Any others take the heavy metal route you did?

I am just spitballing here but guessing 50 lbs give or take 10 lbs?

I think the modern ones are fiberglass, guessing that really lightens the weight.

#1 plays trumpet, #2 trombone, #4 clarinet and #5 drums

I had a fiberglass sousaphone in high school, college was nickel - 55 lbs

Fiberglass ones sound terrible

I usually don’t even look. But right now there’s a Tunica tourism ad. Which I can assure whatever algorithm is watching me is a waste.

While I am a big fan of the NIH I never see ads for a place to hook me up.

Algorithms clearly do not understand the South much less Louisiana.

I often ponder what kige would look like sportin the NIH.
