Outdoor jobs. Pretty much everyone I know who has a career outdoors loves it. I did when I was doing it

My husband is a farmer ... he says the same thing. One day we sat (well he did because I was curious) and figured out how many people his crop that year fed. I can't remember but it was a staggering number.

I think my most fulfilling job overall would be farming. I have a background in it, but just couldn't stand the idea of the financial volatility involved, so I chose another career path.
Well you're not lying ... some years you do well; some years you break even; some years, are well, difficult. It's been good to our family and was awesome as our kids (especially our oldest) was growing up. He learned some a lot about responsibility and what hard work is. Next one got kinda jipped as the oldest was always the one helping out but he's getting there now.

Agreed. My wife asked me when we first started dating what I would do if I won the lottery. I'm sure she was expecting the ol' travel the world for the rest of my life bullshite... I was like, oh that's easy, pay cash for the best 5000 acres of silt loam I could find and farm it. Completely blew her mind, and it's been a learning curve for her, but she's figured out this is just the way it's going to be.

I like to keep work and home separate
I used to say the exact same thing. One day our office building was severely damaged thanks to flooding and I had way too much to do to miss work.
Grabbed my laptop and other assorted crap and went home to set up VPN.
Haven't looked back.
