Poliboard kicks people off with dissenting opinions waaayyy too quickly...heaven forbid people read things from outside the bubble.
Private Messaging would be great.
Ability to upload GIFs, pics, YouTube vids, etc. without having to go through a hosting site.
Night/dark mode.
All that said, one of the most impressive things about this site is how well they've built the infrastructure to handle massive numbers of users. I've never once experienced any sort of lag or a "server unavailable" message since I've joined. Not sure if it's Chicken or some other professional but, whoever it is, does a hell of a good job.

In theory this might sound like a good idea, it would not be a good thing. If you block several people and you see people you haven't blocked responding to someone you have blocked you will be unblocking them to see what they are responding to, etc.
But you can just ignore posters.

That's why it doesn't have a lot of features that are considered normal on forums. More features means more database queries which is what slows sites down.
