We had a couple of military guys. One was 24 when the chapter initiated him. Of course he was a Medal of Honor winner

I never realized he went to USC until I noted to my girlfriend that he was making a bunch of speaking engagements at Fort Gordon, and she said "well ya, he goes to USC."

very common back then, most all of the guys in my mom's college yearbooks were all WWII vets, frats, varsity sports, clubs, whatever

Early 70s, my buddy was in a frat, they had a guy in his mid 30s, claimed he had been in the Army, things started to seem a bit odd with the guy, so they checked around and found he had actually served 17 years for 2nd degree murder.

Knew someone like that. Why not? They gave their country 4 years. If they want to join a fraternity I see no problem with it.

My dad was 31 yo and a student at Southeastern on the GI Bill after WWII and pledged a fraternity. There were a number of vets in that fraternity.
