My uncle gave me a 4-runner out of the blue. Granted it was a '96 model, but it was a manual v6 4x4 with mud tires and roof rack.

My dad submitted my name as a poor kid(I wasn't) for 49ers Family Fun Day. They didn't do any background check, and I ended up being sponsored by Reggie Jackson(no idea why he was involved). Spent a whole day with Reggie, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, and a few others.

Would have to be from a good friend in high school. He worked at his father's bar room and there were two gas pumps out in front. Would pull up with an empty tank of gas and my friend would always come out and pump the gas. When the tank was full, he would reset the pump. Would top it off in order to register something on the pump. Full tank of gas for 11 cents. Maybe not that much of a hookup as I look back because gas was only 25 cents a gallon but it sure was pretty nice at the time.
