The dictionary definition is someone reaching young adulthood around 2000. You are proposing a cap at those 10 and under in 2000.

I will just say I was 18 years old, a freshman at Auburn when 9/11 happened and was in the marine corps a few years later. Me and several other young 20 something's were deploying to both Iraq and Afghanistan for 7-15 months at a time every other year, some deployed 7 on 7 off months. I have a good friend who deployed 3 times to Ramadi in 3 years. Anyhow, I'd hate to get lumped in this group of IPhone d-bag warriors around today. I still think 1990 is more of an appropriate start.

Guess what? The guys that were in Iraqi in the early 90s felt the same way about you. That's just how people's thought process operates. "We were the last good group of......"

Except desert storm was 6 months and the Iraq war was 10 years.. Some big towers were knocked down too as well as thousands perishing. :

I'd also say technology has had a lot to do with it. Cell phones exploded on the scene in the early 2000s and that has changed culture forever.

Millenials are the first graduting high school class in 2000 but I've seen some classify them as being born from as early as 1981.

My daughter was born in 2001. Tells me her generation is Generation Z. Never heard that.
