If you use experience, education, and a process, then you have some sort of evidence that the problem you are working on will work as that evidence suggests. Assumptions are made with no evidence. So I would say that those problems are not assumptions.

Well that's completely false. I would say intelligence is the ability to learn and apply what you have learned about one thing to other things that are seemingly unrelated.

I would like to add that intelligent people wouldn't feel the need to argue about this issue. It's my assumption that we are all stupid.
