What is happening to your brain when you blackout from too much booze?

When you start blackening out it’s time to take stock in your life. Might be a good time to try some self control. Or get help.

Alcohol interferes with the neurons that transfer short term memories into long term. It’s why you can function (short term) but not remember the next day (long term)

It damages the neurons in the brain.
Prolonged drinking can severely damage them and once alcohol is completely removed from the body, it takes a couple of years for them to fully heal.
