Is it that easy though? I can't just take off now that I have kids. My chance to take that big chance, to leave and go to the big city to seek my fortune like some Hollywood movie (although likely the reality would end up as broken as the rest of the dreams that are dashed upon the breakers there) ended.
And then the chance at a stable nuclear family went away too.
It feels like now I have too much responsibility to take chances now.
But fading into mediocrity as some middle management drone seems like an awful fate too.

I applied to nicholls to get a free meal

Yeah .. I think this "I never applied anywhere else" stuff arose in "defense" of the questions as to why someone with 33+ on their ACT, a 4.0, and other academic accolades just wound up going to LSU ..

Nope, didn't get a 33+. Link to where I claimed that? Stop making stuff up please!

You also said men fawn over you in Patrick F Taylor. Complete utter bullshite.

Just get a master's, law degree, or another degree now .. Go to night classes, take online classes, whatever .. You aren't the only person out there with kids .. Tons of people figure this out and accomplish this with kids .. Stop making excuses and convincing yourself it's too late ..

I thought you had a 33+ too, tbh.
I am disappoint.

A few other posters and I posted our "average" scores.

I looked into going back a few years ago. Unfortunately a lot of my credits don't overlap with engineering, so it would be like starting over again if I went that route.

she's rocking a 30 on her application to stanford.

there's definitely one poster here who has the wool pulled everyone's eyes, and it's not Rome

I didn't apply anywhere but LSU! Why is this so difficult to believe?
My sister also didn't apply anywhere else, and she had a 34 on her ACT. Does that make her dumb?

Looking back I wish I would've applied to more places. I wouldn't have gone unless I would've gotten great scholarships, but I would've liked to see where I would've been accepted.
