As far as running a 40 yard dash.

4.5 seconds are good for an athlete
~5 seconds are good for anybody else

For drinking a 40 oz beer...

I would say around 20 - 30 seconds.

ummmm....

For screwing a 40 year old woman...
20 minutes?

To count to 40?

less than 40 seconds?

they key is learning to build your stride. I went to Tom Shaw's Speed camp in highschool. He got me from a 4.69avg to a 4.49 avg
