Couldn't disagree more. Voluntary collectivism is far more effective than individualism in many circumstances and many might say our hyper-individualist mindset is exactly how we ended up where we are today.

Hyper-individualism keeps people from banning together against threats to destroy the society and its where the LGBTQ community, and other social activist groups, have found their greatest allies.

Instead of being a part of a community growing up the hyper-individualized society pushed them away from learning about themselves as part of a group and into isolation. What's the result? They glue themselves to the social activist community and wreck shop on the hyper-individualized world.


The only collectivism that sucks is state-mandated collectivism that punishes and individuality, like China.

Imagine if allied troops in WW2 had taken on a hyper-individualized approach to field strategies, they would have been destroyed.
