Even I know that a "coupe" is not a small car. Coupe means a car with a fixed roof and two doors (I googled the latter).
This is a coupe:

I don't think you know what a coupe is. Hint: It doesn't mean a small car and it doesn't mean a convertible.
You beat me to it.

A car can have removable T-Tops and still be considered a coupe.

Wouldn't that still be a fixed roof? (I am agreeing with you).
It always seemed to me that if you were going to have a t-top, you might as well get a convertible.

I believe if it can be removed, it is not a fixed piece. Other than problems of water leaks which are common, I would rather have a T-Top as they do not have the noise associated with cloth tops on the highway. And, T-Tops do add a bit of added safety and strength to the structure.

I don't. What is the hive mind telling you what you should think about it?

Starting with the C5 model, Corvettes were designed from the beginning to have no roof, so that's not always true.

With all due respect, you are an idiot sir.

I remember when GM announced the design change and then somebody thought they would see if it really worked.

I never thought about convertible noise. I drive or ride in Dad's old convertibles and there is a lot of noise (when the top is up), but I juts assumed it was because they are old.
