The best selling beer in LA by a wide margin is Bud Light

Unlike other high-gravity brews, Andygator® is fermented to a dry finish with a slightly sweet flavor and subtle fruit aroma. Reaching an alcohol strength of 8% by volume, it is a Helles Doppelbock.

Best represents the state would probably be:
Abita Strawberry
Tin Roof Voodoo
Or something along the lines where the name and style of beer is representative of the State. But that may not be the actual question being asked. I'm thinking along the lines of "we have a state flower, what's our state beer."
But given the option, I'm taking Gnarly Barley against almost anything in state. Their stuff is really strong, top to bottom. I went to the brewery the other day and the owner said Jucifer out sells every NOLA brewery in NOLA. Stuff is really good.

Abita Strawberry
Go-to beer for boils. When it's ice cold it takes the edge off the spice and good taste/low ABV so I can drink all day without getting too fricked up.
