Put together extremely time consuming informational pieces on little known animals for a few upvotes on the internet? Did I get it?

You were really close. You were off about the upvotes. I don’t do it for you guys. I do it for the animals.

why do teachers speak about teaching in this way?

“Make it?” It’s not the Navy SEALs. Yes, there are some teachers who work hard and do their best. There are also a lot of worthless teachers who stick around forever. “Making it” is many times a result of not having other options.

You realize that over 50% of teachers burn out within the first 3 years right? Part of the reason that teaching has a shortage across the state

We can discuss turnover rate for many jobs in many industries. Restaurant servers have an incredibly high turnover rate. I’m not sure if that says more about the quality of people that choose the profession, or the profession.

Like I said, “making it” is many times a result of not having other options.

Really restaurant servers... That is what you compare someone who has obtained an actual degree to?
That says a lot about you and how you view teaching. Obviously, you don't hold it in high regard and think that anyone can do, as I said I will gladly let you take over my class for a week and see how you do.

I wasn’t comparing the work, I was comparing the turnover rate. But we can do comparisons if you’d like. There are many servers with actual degrees. Why do you speak so lowly of restaurant servers with degrees? Let’s see you take over a busy restaurant serving gig for a week and see how you do.

See what a silly argument that is? We can go through various industries and continue the comparisons. Industries that don’t allow for summers off because demand won’t allow for it.

Why’d you leave serving then?
