Honestly, one of the hardest parts of marriage is that people change.

Either of you may change your mind on very important issues over time. You may take up new hobbies that your SO doesn't enjoy or abandon old ones you used to do together.

You may find yourself in a situation where you must relocate to advance your career and she must stay put to advance hers or vice versa.

My ex-wife wanted to have children but later changed her mind completely. You never know what people are going to do.

Menopause!! Period!!

If you are married to a woman going though that crap, then good luck. The term "bat shite crazy" is from that. 4-5 years of craziness is hell.

I'm only in year 1 and with the traumatic events that have happened to our family lately......holy moly, you'd think I was the cause of all of it.

Weight gain....your fault
Mood swings....your fault
Hot flashes....your fault
Reduced sex life by about 4x' previously....your fault.
Teens acting up.....your fault.

Dudes prepare you anus for wife's menopause time, It's HELL!!!

It doesn't matter to someone like you. All the data in the world and you would simply claim you two are different.

Without looking anything up, would you say that the majority of married couples who can conceive, do or don't have children?

It does matter. I actually specifically asked for it.

Our disagreement isn't based on the number of married couples who do or do not conceive. The discussion we are having is based on married couples who can conceive, decide either before or after marriage that they do not want children, and then willingly decide to have children.

I don't have data to support my claim that couples who do not want children are more likely to not have children than to have children, I'm simply basing my opinion on reason. Since you are presenting a counterargument, it is incumbent on you to present supporting evidence.

He's a shitty poster. Likely an alter of a shitty poster. Thinks he knows everything and he's in his mid - late 20's... just a blow hard.

don't know what this means though. I've had good opinions based on sound logic, and I've had bad opinions based on poor logic. Where I have bad opinions, tell me why they're bad. Telling me that I think I know it all, isn't a refutation of what you deem a bad argument.

We can never forget that Samsung washer and dryer purchase. Sorry boo.

Which unfortunately ties into procreation. You lose focus on each other after you make a little miracle.

Pecker's biggest marital problems will stem from the discrepancy in their number of chromosomes.

Well you probably don't read anything that I post anyway, but I never had the inclination and at 42 wound up with twins.

YOU just don't control everything.

My wife is very much against the idea of having them for a multitude of reasons. Her career is a big part of that but there are other reasons as well. In addition, I have no interest in raising children. My reasons aren't as strong as hers.

I'd be more likely to change my mind. I could see maybe in 5 years or so when I'm 33/34 not be so opposed to the idea. She's a different story though. With every friend of ours that gets pregnant or has a child, it makes her even more opposed to the idea.
