Yeah, the Checker fun Shop. They had magicians supplies, fart cushions, bullet hole decals, itching powder, plastic turds and vomit, and all sorts of cool shite.

The Paramount Theater down the street.

The Hart Theater around the corner.

I think I went to the Para at least once as a kid. Don't recall the Hart.

I never went to the Rebel Drive In. When was it torn down?

Never went to the Rob't E. Lee either. When did it close?

I always wanted to go to The Village, where they actually had guys to park your car. But we wuz definitely too po fo that.

ETA: guess this mystery still exists. I google'd, is it roast beef? Baton Rouge at some time? Still exists?
